Plain Form Test #2

PFT#2 tests your ability to produce orally the PLAIN NEGATIVE PRESENT forms of verbs. Practice saying the plain negative forms based on the polite forms (e.g., だしません arrow ださない) in 2 minutes. You can download the files and try them on your computer. Since the test is done orally, you may want to practice with your classmate.

On the day of the test:

Regular Class Online Class
  1. You need to make an appointment for your time slot.
  2. You can come to the office or call/Skype your instructor to do the test.
  3. During the test (2 minutes), your instructor will give you the polite form of each verb ORALLY. The actual test contains the same verbs in a different order from the ones you have practiced. As soon as you hear the instructor, say the plain form as quickly as possible as shown below.
       Instructor: だしません
       You: ださない
    When the time is up, you will be asked to stop. You are allowed to pass any prompt by saying "PASS," but you are NOT allowed to go back to the skipped ones.
  4. If you are able to give all correct answers, your score will be 30 (100%).

  2. You will be moved to the breakout room until your turn comes.
  3. During the test (2 minutes), your instructor will give you the polite form of each verb ORALLY through Wimba Classroom. The actual test contains the same verbs in a different order from the ones you have practiced. As soon as you hear the instructor, say the plain form as quickly as possible as shown below.

  4. Once you start the test, you have two (2) minutes (plus additional one minute depending on the condition of the connection that day) to give plain forms ORALLY. Go to each slide one by one as quickly as possible. Remember. Your instructor is looking at the same file you have opened and silently counting your scores as you perform in the test. When the time is up, you will be asked to stop. You are allowed to pass any slide by saying "PASS," but you are NOT allowed to go back to the skipped slides.
  5. If you are able to give all correct answers, your score will be 30 (100%).
