Not all people thrive equally well in online learning environment. We do not recommend our online language courses if any of the following applies.
- You do not speak or understand English.
- You have frequent activites and obligations that will prevent you from attending regularly scheduled virtual classes or submitting homework on time or taking exams at designated times and locations or through an exam proctor.
- You are not able to study independently. (You need to be constantly reminded of the homework deadlines and time and date for tests and exams. Or, you need to be followed up on the homework you have missed.)
- You are not good at time management.
- You are uncomfortable reading online materials or you need hardcopy textbooks and other physical materials to study.
- You are unable or unwilling to change your study habits, if necessary, in order to adapt to the online course environment.
- You do not check your email regularly (at least twice a day).
- You are unable or unwilling to resolve basic technical problems. (If your headset is not working, you need to buy a new one. If your audio fails during virtual classroom, you need to run through troubleshooting tips quickly on your own.)
